About the artists
Anders Ehlin (Sweden) is a Berlin based composer and sound artist, working mainly in the fields of Cinema and Art Installation. His works span from lush orchestra and choir works to multi-channel electro-acoustic compositions, but he has also during the last years delved more into artistic research around language and miscommunication and a directly related sound sculptural practice. His latest commission works comprise the two latest films “Liminals” (Venice Biennial 2017) and “I Can See Forever” (Galerie König, Berlin, Dec 2018) with video artist Jeremy Shaw, in which he developed the entire fictional language of the protagonists. In addition, during the course of 2018, he composed multi-channel sound compositions for Philipp Lachenmann’s video works “Delphi Rationale” (Schering Stiftung Berlin) and ”Turkish Night (AKM)” (Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin). Upcoming/ongoing collaborations during 2019 include exhibitions at Halle 9/Leipzig, The Strasbourg Biennial and Stadtteather Ingolstadt.
Lucas Gutierrez (Argentina) is a digital artist and Industrial Designer based in Berlin. He has been engaged in various disciplines, from lectures, workshops and audiovisual performances to video art projects focused on the new paradigms of Digital Culture. Deeply involved in the remix culture and real time AV session projects in which he blends influences of different contexts – from post-work anthropology to the abstract quotes from 3D modeling for Industrial Design. His narrative is often quoting current social fears and dystopias, but mostly using the language of colorful, chaotic metaphysics. Lucas is a member of Fungo (Lisbon) as the Video Content Director and part of Selam X (Berlin).
